Wrong Side Warp, 2025

This book feature elements inspired by Innerleithen’s industrial textile history. This concertina book emulates the sawtooth factory roof shape and include typewritten pattern making in homage to the people who worked there. The screenprinted image is from an archive photograph of the rear of the town’s Caerlee (Brodie’s) Mill. Caerlee Mill, a grade 1 listed building stood as evidence of the traditional textile trade that made Innerleithen in the late 1800s. It has just been demolished.
